Operational Performance Dashboard

The Operational Performance dashboard monitors the bids, latency, and registrations of MEV Relays. Five different regions are available in order to compare performance between them.

  1. Bids Missed by Relay over Time: A missed bid is when a relay is expected to provide a bid and does not. The expectation of a bid is dependent on a validator being registered to a relay for a given slot. This is an indication that there might be an issue with a Relay as they were expected to provide a bid. One of the reasons it may not be an issue is because the Relay did not receive any blocks for a slot.

  2. Bids Missed by Relay: This table provides more granularity for Missed Bids by providing the context of Total Registrations. The % of Missed Bids over Registration tells user how reliable is a Relay. This gives a more granular view of missed bids. The most important number is the percentage of missed bids over registrations as it provides an indication of the reliability of a relay.

  3. Bid Faults by Relay over Time: Gives an overview of the number of Bid Faults by relays. This is important because it indicates when a relay did not perform their duty and provided a faulty bid.

  4. Bid Faults by Relay: Gives a break down of bid faults by specific types. This breaks down the Bid fault and provides context of potential faulty bids.

  5. Total Bids by Relay over Time: The number of bids submitted by Relays over time. Provides context for all Relays over time.

  6. Total Bids by Relay: Gives the exact number of bids for Relays over a period of time. Provides context for all Relays for a time period to be able to compare them.

  7. Average Latency Across Time: The average latency for a Relay monitor in a specific geography. Latency is measured in miliseconds as the round trip time for the bid query. This is important because if a Relay has a long latency in your region then you may not be able to get the bid with the highest reward from them.

  8. Average Latency: The average latency for a Relay monitor in a specific geography. This is important because if a Relay has a long latency in your region then you may not be able to get the bid with the highest reward from them.

  9. Registrations: Registrations are a very resource instensive process for relays. This chart is the number of registration over the total possible number of registrations. Any issues processing registrations can be easily spotted as gaps in this chart.
